Guest Teacher Event: Empire People – How Oppression Nurtured the Seed for Life to Go On
R350.00
Date: 4th May 2022
Time: 7 pm – 9 pm (CAT)
Facilitator: Zita Tulyahikayo
This masterclass is an opportunity for those interested in understanding the history of oppression and how it informs the systemic field in which we work.
History has been made up by the rise and fall of empires. Whilst empires are not as common as they once were, the effect has rumbled down ancestral lines and remains with us today.
In our focussed attention on the harmful impact of the British Empire – guilt, shame, and loss, we rarely, if ever, explore what remains hidden.
We are all Empire people. What happens when we dare to look? When we tilt the lens, we discover that what lives on in us can support us in finding peaceful resolutions, ones that uplift.
In this masterclass, we will explore the emotional requirements necessary to create the peace and reconciliation that supports all life.
