Introduction to Ancestral Connections (London)
May 8 @ 7:15 pm - 9:45 pm
Ancestral Connections is an integrative workshop series oriented towards re-connection with ourselves, our embodiment, our family and our ancestors.
Through drum, voice, DJ’d music, dance and constellations we connect with many generations of our family systems. This allows us to enter into the experience of re-connecting of lost pieces in the ancestral soul as well as resources and gifts available to us from our ancestral lineages.
Bringing breath, consciousness and movement meditation to the excluded and unseen parts of our trans-generational history brings us into a new way of relating and belonging to all that was, as it was. Those who have participated in this work developed by Sian Palmer and Tanja Meyburgh report feeling a greater sense of belonging, meaning, synchronistic flow, and finding resolution to difficult relationships within the current or family of origin. This evening workshop will give an experiential introduction to the work in a way that resources the participant and ignites ideas and creativity around their own personal process or therapeutic practice.
Tanja Meyburgh is a registered psychologist, and an internationally renowned systems constellations facilitator and trainer. As founder of African Constellations she has been immersed in family and systems constellations work since 2003 through her practice, training facilitators in South Africa and writing about her experiences. What excites her about constellations is the possibility to engage the head, heart and body in the healing process, as well as the bridge that it offers between ancient and indigenous ways of healing and modern concepts of psychology, epigenetics and neuroscience. Tanja is also an ongoing student of African cosmology.
